Major global tier 1 Caparo is about to produce a paradigm shift in road legal sports cars with the two seater T1. Straight line performance with a Vmax of 200mph and 0-100mph in less than 5 seconds, is in a different league. 1000 bhp/ton with 3g lateral and braking acceleration is from a different planet.
In setting up Caparo Vehicle Technologies in Basingstoke, the company is also aiming to reflect this performance level in its engineering and business performance.
Caparo has chosen Integral Powertrain’s PLM division Intrinsys to help them to achieve this. IP is providing a customised PLM system based around the SmarTeam platform and is providing training in advanced CATIA V5 methods. IP is also providing engineering support to help keep the project on plan.
