IT Administrator

In order to maintain our high engineering standards, we require a first-class IT infrastructure. As a result of our significant ongoing growth we are now seeking an IT Administrator to deliver technical support for our staff and customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Configure and install Servers, PCs, Software and Network equipment
  • Respond to client and user queries using an in-house helpdesk system
  • Resolve any hardware or software issues including licensing
  • Maintain an accurate log of all problems encountered
  • Undertake system administration duties
  • Helping to develop and maintain IT Systems and existing databases
  • Checking IT security, virus software and backups

Required skills/experience:

  • The IT Administrator will require an MCSE or MCP qualification in Windows Servers.
  • You will have strong knowledge of common PC applications including MS Office and OpenOffice Suites and also hardware, including PCs, modems, printers and other peripherals.
  • You will have a proven track record of network support and management including the configuration of managed network devices as well as previous experience in a PC / network support role with experience of managing networks, firewalls and virus protection infrastructure.
  • You will be confident in resolving complex problems quickly and efficiently and communicate with internal and external customers.
